Enquiry: what kind of promotion is more attractive from your mind?

Supposing you are in a shopping centre, and many brands of Cognac were listed on the shelves. Martell has the GWP(Gift with purchase) program for the consumers.Hennessy has the incentives for cumulating consumption points.(Incentives maybe a free abroad trip by lucky draw), and Remy martin are organizing free tasing party in that area. Then, what kind of promo attracts you most? and which brand will you buy at last, why? Thanks in advance for any of your respones....|||oi mate, i'm a SEM marketer...hope i can help. The Martell promo is great, but it must be instant gratification...i want that gift on the spot, or else i won't remember, therefore not worth the hassle etc. etc. Same with hennessey, half the time i buy booze, i'm already drunk so i'm not interested in putting out effort or remembering to send stuff in etc. The remy tasting parties sound pretty cool - the only caveat would be to not be stingy on handing out the booze...let it flow!|||Gift with purchase.

I do not really want to go drink with complete strangers.|||The tasting party does sound pretty enticing (although the first thing that comes to mind is if it will be more of a "selling party" than anything), but most of the time I'd say GWP. However, I doubt that most cognac drinkers would switch to a different brand just for some cheap trinket or a free drink.|||A Cognac drinker buys what they like, so they would probably stick to that. Also, people like instant gratification and won't bother with the consumption points unless it's something that they normally consume. Example, Marlboro miles.


The tasting party does sound more attractive as far as a promotion. Some gift ideas could be some fancy cigars for the guys that drink Cognac and for the ladies, perhaps a spa treatment. I hope that helps.
