How to tell the age and value of Cognac?

I have a bottle of French Martell Cordon Bleu Cognac that I got from my grandfather after he passed away. The bottle looks REALLY old. It actually looks like it could have been in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie (that style of bottle). The label is all in French and the only date I can find looks like it says "Founded In" so I don't think that's the year it was bottled. Any idea how I can tell how old this thing is?|||contact the company and ask

they will likely be abe to tell you, or approximate it.

as for when its bottled that shouldn't matter. what matters is how long it was aged before being bottled.
