martell is some crazy language with boxes arrows stuff like that i think its the original language for computer by the way i have a acer labtop i really need step by step directions thnx|||This is not a language problem, it's a default display font problem.聽 Marlett (not Martell) is the font that displays all the arrows, window corners, button icons and stuff on your windows.聽 You need to change it back to the default Tahoma.聽 You may need to reinstall this font from your Windows CD, as the problem may have been caused by it being deleted or becoming corrupt.

To switch languages or keyboards from the taskbar
Open Regional and Language Options in Control Panel.

The language icon is available only if you have added multiple languages or multiple keyboard layouts in Regional and Language Options in Control Panel.
When inserting text, you can use the keyboard, speech recognition, or handwriting recognition interchangeably without clicking a button.
The letters on the icon represent the active language. For example, EN stands for English.
