Which is the smoothest cognac? Martell Cordon Bleu?

Please suggest an easy cognac for a new comer.|||Navan...

From the Grand Marnier house. I am totally hooked.|||It is Brandy... OK?

And you can't beat Martell and Courvoisier (VSOP)!|||Remy Martin is the smoothest... especially XO (xtra old) but the Club will do as well..Louis XIII is the very best (at least 60 years old)

The older a Cognac the smoother it is.... It also depends in which part of the Cognac area the grapes are groing.

A cheaper alternative to Cognac is brandy. There are very smooth, but cheap brandys (like Stock 84)|||Remy Martin Louis XIII is the most expensive, $1,700+

But, I would always take Ferrand Pierre over most of the well-known guys. Their reserve is half the price of most XO's, and better quality.
